At the beginning of the new year, 18 outstanding students from AIM have successfully departed from Hefei and Wuhan airports, arriving safely at Singapore Changi Airport to commence their studies under the 2025 Singaporean Asian Nursing Scholarship Programme.
According to arrangements made by the Singapore's Ministry of Health Holdings (MOHH), the students will pursue nursing studies at two polytechnics in Singapore: 10 students will enroll at Nanyang Polytechnic, while the remaining 8 will join Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Prior to the start of their formal nursing education, they will undergo a three-month intensive English language training to prepare for a fully English-taught curriculum. The students are scheduled to begin their professional nursing courses in April this year.
Upon completion of their three-year nursing programme, the students will embark on their professional careers as registered nurses at assigned public healthcare institutions in Singapore.
As one of the partner institutions in China for the Singaporean ANS programme, AIM has been responsible for the selection and placement of students since 2006. To date, a total of 271 students have pursued their studies, careers, and life experiences in Singapore through this initiative, serving as a vital bridge in fostering talent exchange and co-operation between China and Singapore in the field of nursing and healthcare.
