Recently, the People's Government of Anhui Province has issued a formal notice, approving the establishment of the Anhui Institute of Medicine (AIM) based on the former Anhui Medical College. This approval follows the official endorsement from the Ministry of Education of China.

The newly founded institute will begin its inaugural academic year by offering four undergraduate programs: Nursing, Geriatric Services Management, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Pharmacy. This transition marks a significant milestone in the institution's development, enhancing its capacity to contribute to medical education and healthcare in the region.
